The AAFCANS promotion to reuse your cup and leave your legacy also helps to remove thousands of cups from landfill. It’s estimated that over 1.8 billion single-use cups are used by Australians every year, and much of this ends up in landfill. This promotion highlights the good practice of reusing your cup and reducing consumption of packaged goods which benefits our environment. The cups are soil-positive (which means when they break down, they feed and enrich the soil with plant matter) and compost quickly in a commercial landfill environment.
