Borneo Barracks

Borneo Barracks is located at Cabarlah which is approx. 14 klms north of Toowoomba. Home to the Defence Force School of Signals’ Electronic Warfare Wing.

The Electronic Warfare Wing is a tri-service organisation that trains personnel in signals intelligence and electronic warfare, focussing on signals of interest collection, analysis and reporting skills.

Army’s electronic warfare operators receive their initial employment training at the wing alongside Navy and Air Force intelligence personnel. The Electronic Warfare Wing also delivers Army promotion courses for electronic warfare operators. Each specific course targets areas of expertise and knowledge expected of a corporal, sergeant and warrant officer. About 70 staff help train around 450 students on 22 courses at the wing each year.
