Simpson Signals School Kiosk

In August 2018 AAFCANS redeveloped the school of signals coffee kiosk located at Simpson Barracks. A pop-up kiosk facility was added to create further convenience for ADF and Defence workers. The offer was expanded to meet the needs of the base, a state-of-the-art combined hot and chilled food display cabinet was installed to help maximize the fresh offering. Fresh barista made coffee, hot and chilled drinks, snacks and healthy options are provided, AAFCANS also improved the point of sale and service equipment.

RAAF Laverton 474 Kiosk

In August 2018 AAFCANS redeveloped the 474-coffee kiosk located at RAAF Laverton. The high-traffic hallway junction was turned into a pop-up kiosk facility, adding further convenience for ADF and Defence workers. The offer was expanded to meet the needs of the base, a state-of-the-art combined hot and chilled food display cabinet was installed to help maximize the fresh offering. Fresh barista made coffee, hot and chilled drinks, snacks and healthy options are provided, AAFCANS also improved the point of sale and service equipment.  The kiosk refurbishment cost $50k and was opened 20th August 2018.

Victoria Barracks Sydney Cafe

In June/July 2018 AAFCANS refurbished the existing outdated and poorly resourced Café located inside the historic Victoria Barracks Sydney. The hospitality space was transformed into a modern contemporary dining space that nurtures downtime and inspires members to meet and collaborate in a relaxed comfortable environment. The project was made possible by cohabitation of the Arthur Hall VC Club. The club has benefited from the upgraded surroundings. members and visitors alike can also enjoy the modern, temperate environment. The historic and iconic imagery that adorns the walls pays homage to Arthur Hall VC and the early years of Victoria Barracks and her occupants. The cost of the Victoria Barracks Sydney refurbishment was $175k.

Sadlier Street Kiosk Gallipoli Barracks

AAFCANS in collaboration with ‘the School of Langs social club’ located at Gallipoli Barracks set up a satellite kiosk facility to service members in Sadlier Street. The shared space has given ADF members greater access to amenities. The kiosk has been a successful inclusion for Gallipoli Barracks, the local leadership have been very supportive and with their support the offer continues to grow. The kiosk offer provides fresh barista made coffee, healthy options, snacks, some hot food and key retail products.

Lone Pine Barracks Canteen

In September 2018 AAFCANS refurbished the main canteen located at Lone Pine Barracks Singleton. AAFCANS invested approx $275k into the overall refurbishment of the facility. The new canteen facility focuses on a contemporary fresh food offer, an expanded retail and snacking range and also includes Post Office and dining and entertainment lounge. The redevelopment of the space enabled AAFCANS to provide a comfortable lounge dining space with booth seating, soft furnishing, contemporary decor, USB recharge area, Qi chargers for modern devices and an entertainment & games hub. A fully weatherproof outside covered dining area was created for customer comfort and provides an all-year-around casual space to chill and catch up with mates. A self-service point of sale was also added to help streamline peak service times.

Emotive translucent eye-popping images adorn the dining area windows and the refreshed decor adds a home-away-from home feel to the space.

RAAF Amberley Canteen

In Feb 2017 AAFCANS refurbished the main canteen located at RAAF Base Amberley. AAFCANS invested approx $500,000 into the overall refurbishment of the facility. The new canteen facility focuses on contemporary fresh food and the use of technology to assist service. Customers can enjoy a range of new food offers as well as speedy purchasing through self-checkout machines.  The outside dining area also received an upgrade with a canopy shade sail added, comfortable bench seating, dining tables and cooling mist fans to welcome customers on hot days.  The interior decoration is contemporary and spacious with comfy private dining booths, soft furnishings, larger lounge areas filled with ottomans and space to accommodate group discussions. Additionally, a recharge station with USB and power connectivity adds to the conveniences. The art installation captures both the heart and history of RAAF Base Amberley customers can enjoy the procession of eye-popping images that adorn the dining area walls and windows incorporating historic images, unit plaques and photos. The wall-to-wall glass mounted mural depicting 1SQN Avro Lincoln Bomber Pilots at RAAF Base Amberley during the 1950s features proudly as you dine.

RAAF Amberley SFS Kiosk

In collaboration with the Security and Fire  training School (RAAFSFS), AAFCANS created a pop-up kiosk facility to meet the growing needs of the Eastern RAAF Amberley base. AAFCANS renovated and repurposed a container, transforming the space into a coffee kiosk. Customers appreciated access to additional amenities and convenience.

Blamey Barracks Kapooka Canteen

AAFCANS invested $K and refurbished the Kapooka Canteen facility. The new canteen provided AAFCANS with the opportunity to hone the offering, expand quick healthy options and improve the snacking and retail ranging. Pick n’ mix confectionery and protein ranges were added. Contemporary food service equipment and state-of-the-art hot and cold food display cabinets helped create an inviting and fresh offer for customers. A self-service point of sale with touch screen technology was also added to help streamline peak service times.

Lavarack Barracks Toms Cafe Refresh

In March 2016 AAFCANS refreshed the offer at Tom’s Cafe, Lavarack Barracks. The demolition of  an neighboring storage area enabled an integrated retail hub to be included inside the main canteen. The new addition provided AAFCANS with the opportunity to expand the retail offer and stock holdings to better cater to the needs of the busy Army base. Improvements were made to the protein category, healthy options and personal convenience product lines. The refurbishment also helped to refresh the interior food displays cabinetry layout, relocate and create a destination coffee precinct. A self-service point of sale was also added to help streamline peak service times.
